Making your booking

It sounds great, how do I book?

It’s easy. Click here, choose your city and start your application by clicking BOOK NOW. Need a hand? Just get in touch, that’s what we’re here for. You can drop us an email, give us a call, or message us on Live Chat or social media.

Who can my guarantor be?

They must be a UK resident in professional, full-time employment. They’ll need to provide proof of ID and proof of address, like a utility bill dated within the last three months.

Can we book as a group?

Of course! If you’d like to live with your friends, we can help. Make your group booking online or get in touch. And if you book with us then refer friends who also book to stay, you’ll BOTH receive £50 off your rent.

Can I book for a single semester?

It depends on the property, but contracts are usually at least 44 weeks. If there is an available room we may be able to offer a shorter contract, so please contact our property team directly to find out. (If you’re booking after the contract start date, then we’ll shorten the contract accordingly.) For summer lets, please check out our property pages, where you’ll find if we have availability and what’s on offer. Our property teams are on standby for any help you need 😊

Are there any extra fees on top of deposit and rent?

Nope, everything’s included after that! So you can get on with enjoying uni.

Can I extend my contract length?

We’ll always work to make sure we can make extensions where possible. Please have a chat with your property team who will do everything they can to make it happen.

What is the next stage after booking?

After you have made your booking and paid the deposit we will allocate you a room and send you tenancy documents to sign. If you are paying by instalments then your guarantor will also need to sign. We need original signatures on this documentation, as it is legally binding. Therefore please post or hand deliver to the relevant property address. Please do not post to the landlord address of Manchester International Office Centre.

Do I need a guarantor?

That depends… If you choose to pay by instalments, you’ll need a UK-based guarantor. Pay your rent annually and you won’t need a guarantor. If you’re an International customer and wish to pay by instalments, Housing Hand can act as your Guarantor.

Can I choose my own room?

Yes, take your pick! You can even tell us who you’d like to live with (which university, course, age etc.) and we’ll pair you to the perfect flat.

Can I take a look around?

Yes, you’ve a few options. Contact our amazing property team to arrange a look around, or if you’re too far away, ask us about FaceTime viewings. You’ll also find 360° tours on our website property pages to give you a good feel of the place.

Dual occupancy - can I book a room and stay with my partner?

Yes, we have allocated studios at some of our properties which are able to accommodate two people (only one bed in the studio).

 

We don’t have any additional fees for dual occupancy, who can put a price on love after all!

Can I scan and email the Tenancy Documents?

Yes, we will accept a scanned copy (we cannot accept electronic signatures) if posting or handing to site is difficult for you. For example if you are overseas, then we will accept scanned copies to speed up the booking process. However, please attempt to return the original signed copy prior to check-in wherever you can. We must also receive the original signed copy at check-in. Failure to submit original signed Tenancy Documents will affect your move in process.
